competitive advantage

Definition

Comparative advantage is a relative advantage. ""Comparative advantage dictates that we should focus on what we do best, rather than on what we do better than other people."" (Kay, 2004, pp 85, emphasis added). While businesses, which exist because of their economic function, should seek competitive advantage, people and countries should seek comparative advantage through pursuing what they do best.
